oking – McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh once again defended the drivers Lewis Hamilton last season less bright. He insisted that the drivers were still a brilliant driver.
Whitmarsh even give one piece of evidence that Hamilton is still the fastest racer in a few races last season. And, in fact, Hamilton is one of three riders who reach the podium more than one race in the past 2011 season.
Indeed, winning the 2008 world champion was having a difficult time last year. Plus a number of issues that are less well off track so that he won the world title last season and just settle for fifth position entrenched in the 2011 final standings ago.
“As McLaren did years ago, Lewis (Hamilton), in China, Germany and in Abu Dhabi – and elsewhere – he was so impressive,” said Whitmarsh, as quoted by Crash, Sunday (01/29/2012).
“However, you describe 2011 as a ‘difficult season’ for Lewis and no doubt there is some truth in that,” he continued.
Whitmarsh added that the public would be well to remember the success of Hamilton to be enjoyed. So far in his career Hamilton did not focus too much on the difficulties faced in 2011.
“Lewis has been an integral part of McLaren for more than half his life. He was part of historians hMcLaren and part of the McLaren family, “he said.
